Jill is a professional cook and caterer specialising in game, wild food i.e. home-made jams, bread, hens hatched on the farm, eggs and home-grown vegetables. Venison and lamb are also locally-produced.
Jill can also provide "drop-off" meals for people not wishing to cook. They are ready prepared and either ready to eat or ready for the oven. A very nice treat on returning from a hard days walking the fells, and suppers can be left in the fridge for your arrival after a long journey. Fresh local milk, basic vegetables and wonderful meats are available from the local Farm Shop.
Catering for larger parties and celebrations and functions is also available.
Most of the ingredients are local to North Cumbria and some from our own vegetable garden.
For special occasions and larger functions dinners and buffets can be catered for in the Inglenook Room. With the open fire and by candlelight in this 350 year old house, dinners here are a night to remember.
